NWICSA Team Race Championship

Cascade Locks, Oregon

Sunday was more sun and wind at Cascade Locks with temperatures again in the 70s and about 15 knots from the West with gusts to 18. Racing started promptly at 10:30 with triangle and double triangle courses. Despite the early start a full double round robin was not completed so scores reverted to the first round robin with Washington emerging with a perfect 3-0 record. The races completed but not counting were used as tie-breakers between Western, Oregon and Portland State. Western beat both teams to claim second while Oregon beat Portland State to claim third. There was good, exciting racing by every team. Congratulations to the University of Washington who will represent the Northwest at the 2004 ICSA North American Team Race Championship!
